Medical Marijuana Laws In Colorado
If you suffer from a debilitating medical condition, it’s legal to use medical marijuana in the state of Colorado, including Denver, with the following provisions:
•you must be a resident of the state of Colorado;
•you must have a current Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry Identification Card (also known as an MMJ card), issued by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment;
•to obtain a Medical Marijuana Registry Card, you must get a referral from a physician with whom you have a “bona-fide” doctor-patient relationship;
•you cannot possess more than 2 ounces of medical marijuana at any given time;
•you can’t use medical marijuana in a way that endangers anyone else;
•you can’t use the medical marijuana in plain view of the public (including your backyard or garage if you can be seen by neighbors).
